The library is excited about the preservation efforts being made at the Green Street Cemetery, Statesville’s oldest African American cemetery.

The library is excited about the preservation efforts being made at the Green Street Cemetery, Statesville’s oldest African American cemetery. This program will discuss the historic significance of the cemetery and the Green/Garfield Street district as well as the recent ground-penetrating radar survey conducted at the site.
