Apply for a Library Card

Library cards are free to all Iredell County residents age five and over. To apply for a library card, you must have an official picture I.D. with your current address; if your current address is not on your ID, your card will be mailed to your home. You can also apply for a library card online.

Applicants under age eighteen need a parent’s or guardian's signature to apply for a card. If you live outside Iredell County, there is an annual $20 fee for a card. You can apply for a library card at the libraries in Statesville, Harmony or Troutman.

You are responsible for all items charged to your card and all charges assessed to your card.

For your protection, you must have your card with you whenever you use borrow books from the library. If you lose your card, please report the loss as soon as possible. There is a $2.00 fee for a replacement card.
Apply for a library card online

You can apply for a library card online and pick up your new card when you come to the library. (Please don't use online application to replace a lost card.)

To apply for a card, go the the library's NC Cardinal page and click the Request Library Card button at the bottom of the page.

Fill out the form with all the requested information. The fields marked with a red asterisk must be filled out; the other fields are optional. Please note that you must select either the Statesville Main Library, the Harmony Branch Library, or the Troutman Branch Library from the list under Iredell County Public Library. Don't worry, though, your card is good at all three libraries.
