Youth Programs in Statesville

Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.
Join us Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. This program is designed for children 3-5 years old and filled with stories, action rhymes, games and craft activity. No prior sign-up is required. Younger siblings & friends are welcome to attend and a parent or caregiver must stay in the room for a fun time.
Thursdays at 10 a.m.
Come each Thursday at 10 a.m. for 20 minutes of enjoyable learning activities, including an optional craft that enhances the program. Recommended for our youngest group of listeners, from birth to three, and can include the whole family.
Lap-sit is an early literacy program for babies & toddlers using short stories, songs, nursery rhymes and finger play. Active participation between child & caregiver within the program encourages each child’s interest, love of books and the enjoyment of learning.
Group storytimes are filled with stories, action rhymes, and music. It's designed for groups of 10 or more and for children ages 4 and up. A teacher or caregiver must stay in the room for a fun filled time. Please call the Youth Services Department to make an appointment for group storytime for preschool or school age children.
