Apply for a library card

Library Card

Library cards are free to all Iredell County residents age five and over. If you live outside Iredell County, there is a annual $20 fee for a card.

You can apply for a library card at the libraries in Statesville, Harmony or Troutman. You can also apply for a library card online.

To get a library card, you must have an official picture I.D. with your current address; if you don’t have current ID, your card will be mailed to your home. Patrons under age eighteen need a parent’s or guardian's signature to apply for a card.

You are responsible for all items charged to your card and all charges assessed to your card. For your protection, you must have your card with you whenever you use it. If you lose your card, please report the loss as soon as possible. There is a $2.00 fee for a replacement card.

Twenty-four hour book drops are available at all three library locations. At the Main Library in Statesville, the book drop is located on the driveway on the left (north) side of the library. At the Harmony and Troutman branch libraries, book drops are located in the parking lot.
