Using the Library

Library cards are free to all Iredell County residents age five and over. If you live outside Iredell county, there is a annual $10 fee for a card. To get a library card, you must have an official picture I.D. with your current address; if you don’t have current ID, your card will be mailed to your home. Patrons under age eighteen need a parent’s or guardian's signature to apply for a card.
You are responsible for all items charged to your card and all charges assessed to your card. For your protection, you must have your card with you whenever you use it. If you lose your card, please report the loss as soon as possible. There is a $2.00 fee for a replacement card.
A 24-hour book drop is located on the driveway on the left (north) side of the library.
Reserves and Renewals
Items may be renewed for one additional loan period if no other library user has requested the item. You may renew items in person, from any catalog computer in the library or by clicking Your Library Card at the top of this page.
Reserves may be placed on library materials that are checked out by using the catalog computers in the library or by visiting www.iredell.lib.nc.us and selecting Your Library Card at the top of the page.
