Call the Library Any Time
Call 704-928-2014 anytime 24 hours a day, seven days a week for information on your library account.
Imagine being able to call a phone number any time of day or night to check your library account status, renew items, and check on your holds. The library is in the process of implementing the TM3 Connect system which will let you automatically check your account by telephone. When you call the Connect number you may choose an option to get general information about the library like location information and hours of operation.
You can also choose Account Options such as renewals, holds, or account status. To access your account options you will need to enter your library card number. For renewals, you will have the option to renew all of the items you have out. If you wish to renew individual items you will need to have those items on hand when you call so you can enter their barcode numbers. If you call the Connect number during the library’s normal hours of operation, you will also have the option to transfer your call to a member of the staff. ;Of course, the library’s main telephone numbers will also remain available.
In addition to providing 24-hour telephone access to your library account information, the new TM3 system will also automatically call to alert you when items you have requested are ready for pick up, or to remind you if you have overdue items.; With mailed notices, there is always a time delay between when the notice is generated and when it gets to you. The new notification system should virtually eliminate that delay, meaning you can get your requested items sooner, or know earlier-on that you have an item overdue and minimize the amount of fines that accrue.
If you have changed your phone number recently or know that we do not have your current phone number, please give your number to a staff member at the checkout desk or the information desk.
