Access Newspaper ARCHIVE contains tens of millions of searchable newspaper pages, dating as far back as the 1700's, including the Statesville Daily Record, the Statesville Landmark and the Statesville Record & Landmark from 1874-1876, 1880-1907, 1921-1933, and 1945-1955.

Heritage Quest

Contains original page images for the entire U. S. Census from 1790 to 1930 as well as over genealogy 25,000 books, PERSI™, and other expanding collections.

Digital Sanborn Maps

Sanborn Maps for the state of North Carolina provides digital access to 11,173 large-scale maps of 158 North Carolina towns and cities. Users have the ability to easily manipulate the maps, magnify and zoom in on specific sections, and compare maps from different years.

Obituary and Birth Notices
 

You can search the library's catalog for obituary and birth notices from local newspapers. The catalog currently has obituary records from 1949 through 2006 and birth records from 1954 to 2001.
