Free library accounts automatically created for all ISS students each school year.
No fines or late fees! Students are solely responsible for lost or damaged items.
Nothing. All ISS students automatically have NEST Access accounts they can use through their student ID numbers
Use your student ID number for the barcode and the last four digits of the student ID number as your PIN.
You can only have ten print or audio library items checked out on these accounts at any one time. Also, your can't request items from NC Cardinal libraries via resource sharing.
Students can access eBooks and eAudiobooks through Overdrive, magazines through Zinio, as well as online resources including Learning Express, NCLive, Pronunciator, and much more.
Three weeks. All check out policies will be the same on these accounts as they would be on regular ICPL cards.
Yes. The student ID number and pin will log them into library computers just as a regular library card can.
Yes. Students can log in via the ICPL website with their student ID number and pin to view the items checked out on their account, as well as to renew or request items.
No. Even though the items on the account will appear overdue, no fines should be accumulating on the account. However, if an item is lost or damaged the cost of the item will be attached to the student's account barring them from use until the item is returned or the cost is paid.
Yes. The two accounts are not connected and in no way affect one another.
Yes. A parent or guardian simply needs to complete an opt-out form and return it to their local library branch or school. Forms are available at either the library or their school.
